Caitlin's Guide for Nottingham Trent University | England
WHO AM I?
My name is Caitlin Moore and I live in Oxford, England (or
Leeming, Australia!). I study at Nottingham Trent
University and I am studying Wildlife
Conservation BSc. I studied abroad at Murdoch University and the best part of my exchange was experiencing a different way of life and seeing sites dissimilar to any I had ever seen before, and making amazing friends!

THE 5 BEST THINGS ABOUT THE UNITED KINGDOM
The 5 best things about my
country is the food, the scenery, how small it is (you can travel pretty much
anywhere for just a weekend or even a day!), the easy access to Europe, the
friendliness of the people (in particular the university students!)
THE 5 BEST THINGS ABOUT NOTTINGHAM TRENT UNIVERSITY
The 5 best things about my
university is how fun it is, how friendly and tight-knit the student body is,
the quality of the education, the focus on employability post-degree and the
city of Nottingham
WHAT I LOVE TO DO
My favourite thing to do in my
university city/town is travel in to the city for a meal or some drinks -
Nottingham is really multicultural and has a really wide variety of different
food experiences available, as well as some pretty unique bars. You can’t come to my university
city/town without seeing Sherwood Forest!
MY ADVICE FOR YOU
If you decide to study at my
university the best advice I can give you is take every opportunity they give
you, even if you think you'll feel like a fool (and you will, sometimes,
especially when you're walking home at 3am in fancy dress!). You'll make some
incredible friends and lifelong memories, and experience some truly wonderful
things. Make sure you don’t forget to
pack layers! The UK can get A LOT colder than Australia!
MY FAVOURITES PLACES TO EAT/GO OUT
My favourite place to eat is
Yo!Sushi - and it's not just sushi, if you don't like that! I recommend the
chicken gyoza - without a doubt the heavenliest things I have ever tasted!
My favourite place to go out is
Pryzm - it's always a good night out at Pryzm, and you will always come back
with some great stories! Other than that, I recommend going to the Uni SU club
nights as they are the best way to meet other students (and end up eating pot
noodle or chicken nuggets at 4am with strangers - who are soon to be friends).
MY FINAL ADVICE FOR YOU
My advice for someone coming to
study at my university is enjoy it! I wish I could have my first term at Trent
over again! It is really an awesome uni and it feels like home, no matter who
you are or what you're looking for.
